Gregory T. Strudwick has been actively involved promoting safety since 1972. He became a certified N.U.C.A. instructor in July 1991. In October 1991, he completed the O.S.H.A. 500 course, the basic instructor course in occupational safety and health standards in the construction industry. Since 1991, Greg has completed the O.S.H.A. 502 course, three consecutive times, and maintained certification to teach the 10 Hour and 30 Hour O.S.H.A. programs. Greg has also been certified by O.S.H.A. to teach the O.S.H.A. 302 course on Underground Construction and Tunneling.
Currently, Greg promotes safety standards through his active membership in multiple national organizations; The National Utility Contractors Association (N.U.C.A.), the Associated General Contractors Association (AGC), and the International Association of Foundation Drillers. Greg has focused his efforts on promoting a cultural change in the overall construction industry. “In order to create a solid safety culture, management has to be actively involved in promoting safety throughout the company on a consistent basis.” Greg has served the construction industry in multiple capacities throughout his career as owner, president, executive vice-president over field operations, estimator, heavy equipment operator, pipelayer, and laborer. Greg served on the Advisory Committee on Construction, Safety and Health (ACCSH) from 2002-2007.
Jacob Ponce recently joined GS&A “Team Safety” in July 2013. From 2011–2013 he specialized in Sports Construction building synthetic sports fields and running tracks, ranging from middle school’s to college stadium fields. His interest in people and their safety, has driven him into a growing interest in safety training. With the majority of the work force out in the field predominantly speaking Spanish, Jacob’s ability to fully communicate both in English and Spanish provides the working force out in the field, a clear understanding of their safety responsibilities.
The combination of his understanding of the workforce’s culture, his management experience over the past 5 years and his continued education in OSHA compliance allow Jacob to reach all levels of any client base.
Jacob is promoting safety standards through site audits and training, program development and consultation in the DFW area.
Ronald (Rocky) Stone joined Greg Strudwick & Associates (GS&A) in 2005. He has credentials and training unique to the construction industry. Rocky is a retired twenty-seven year veteran with the Texas Department of Public Safety where he was serving as a Senior Trooper. Rocky’s experience with the TDPS was as a Drivers License Trooper, a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper and the past 20+ years he has served as a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Trooper.
Rocky is an associate staff member with the National Training Center in Washington D.C. as an instructor for Title 49 Hazardous Material Regulation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, Roadside Inspection. He is a trainer of DOT required training courses and compliance review audits.
Rocky is promoting safety standards through site audits and training, program development and consultation in the South Texas area.
Lucio Sanchez joined Team Safety in April 2016, with a back ground as a Risk Advisor for insurance companies and warehouse manager for Housley Group. His desire to help and educate people out in the field about safety standards and practices is what has lead him into pursuing a career in the safety industry. Having the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish Lucio, is able to reach out and provide the working force in the field a clear understanding of their safety responsibilities.
